What's in a name?
The name AJÒ (pronounced Ayo) was choosen for several reasons. It is a Sardinian expression that translates to “Come on, let’s go” which is not only succinct and easy to remember but also resonates with our Sardinian heritage, reflecting a connection to its culture. Moreover, it embodies the optimistic mindset we aspire to represent in our business operations.
Valeria Pintus (Founder)
I am a career-driven entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in the Real Estate, Marketing, and Tourism industries. My early career was spent at the prestigious Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, London, where I focused on travel trade and collaborated with large national tourism initiatives such as “Visit Britain” and the Wimbledon Tennis Association. During this period, I also achieved a qualification in Marketing Management from the UK’s Chartered Institute of Marketing and gained extensive experience in online digital marketing as the Marketing Director for WiredEyes, a London-based Internet Consultancy.
In 2005, I returned to Sardinia, started a family, and for the past decade, I have been immersed in the tourism and real estate markets. After obtaining my estate agent qualification, I founded Ajò, the company presented here.

I have joined the F.I.A.I.P association, one of the largest Italian trade associations for certified real estate agents that operates globally and adheres to a strict ethical code. It is also a partner with the US National Association of Realtors (NAR).
Being a member of both associations gives my clients extra confidence, as it requires specific qualifications and provides continuous training and updates, along with access to an extensive international network of real estate agents for potential collaborations.
