So, I was up early this morning making sure I had everything ready as today (Jan 5th, 2023) I travelled to do a valuation at a really wonderful property close to the sea in the stunning bay of Villasimius.
It is always a delicate situation; meeting homeowners and asking sometimes awkward questions about the place they call home. You have a limited time to gather as much information as you can, so you can write an accurate valuation and sometimes it can involve asking questions about the town planning situation especially in order to check beforehand that the property is salable, unfortunately, the “unlawful” which I call discrepancies from the original planning permission project or last-minute bursts of creativity, are widespread both in Sardinia and in the rest of Italy. Most of the time creativity can be solved easily with the quick submission of a bureaucratic application for building.
This family, however, were a pleasure to talk with and everything looked totally in order so we are really keen to sell their house which it’s a rare opportunity as properties of this type don’t come around very often.
As always, it was a nice opportunity to meet new and interesting people, and I almost forget it was a job interview! Luckily our website showcases our business and does most of the work for us and the customer seemed very impressed.
We are confident that we will get the job so keep your eyes peeled.
